【 🥾 Hiking 🏔️】

With the weather cooling down in Hong Kong, a great leisure activity to do in Hong Kong is hiking!
There are tons of amazing hiking spots in Hong Kong, ranging from easy hikes such as The Peak on Hong Kong Island, to challenging vertical climbs such as the appropriately named ‘Sharp Peak’!
No matter your physical ability or experience, there will be a nice hiking spot for everyone.

Personally, my favourite hike that I have done in the past few years is Tsing Yi’s ‘Sam Chi Heung’ hike, or Tsing Yi Peak. It is a relatively unknown hike nestled in the more rural areas of Tsing Yi, and is a medium-difficulty hike.

It is a short distance away from the Tsing Yi MTR station, easily reached with public transportation. I’ve done this hike twice now , once with a good friend of mine who came to Hong Kong , and the second with some friends from secondary school. The name ‘Sam Chi Heung’ can be directly translated to ‘three incense sticks’, which is in reference to the hill’s three peaks , which get progressively higher and steeper.

Hiking is definitely a good activity to do over the weekends, especially with Hong Kong being not as hot and humid, so be sure to take advantage of the cooler weather and get some exercise in!
